Claudio Valenzuela has sung and played guitar in Lucybell since the band formed in Santiago in the early 1990s, and his voice is the most recognisable thing about them: high, reedy, sitting over chorused guitars on songs like 'Cuando Respiro en tu Boca'. Lucybell were central to the Chilean rock scene that broke through after the return to democracy, and their records circulated widely across Latin America. In the trio, Valenzuela works the same material down to guitar, bass and drums, alongside songs from his own solo catalogue.
