What we collect

If you create an account: your email address, plus what you make on the site — saved acts, favorite bands, and your latest recommendation results per festival. Without an account, those live only in your browser. The band names you search are processed to generate picks and cached so repeat searches are instant; they aren't tied to your identity. We briefly store hashed forms of IP addresses for rate limiting — never raw addresses — and we use analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel) that set cookies and receive usage events tagged with a random account identifier, never your email.

How we use it

To run the service, personalize your recommendations and schedules, understand how people use LineupScout, and improve — and eventually sustain — the platform.

Your connections to artists and festivals

When you save an act or favorite a band, you're creating a connection to them on LineupScout. In the future, artists and festivals may be able to reach the fans connected to them — things like a new album announcement, a lineup drop, or a presale — through LineupScout. Two promises about how that will work: partners never receive your email address or identity from us (messages go through our platform), and every such update will be optional, with clear unsubscribe and opt-out controls when the feature exists.

Aggregate insights

We may share or sell aggregated, de-identified statistics — for example, how many users saved an act, or which regions show the most interest in a festival — with festivals, artists, and partners. Aggregate insights never identify you individually.

Advertising

We reserve the right to run advertising to support the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

Communications

Today we only email you to sign you in. If we add optional updates later (from us, or from artists and festivals you're connected to), marketing-style messages will always be separately unsubscribable from the service emails your account needs.

Services we rely on

Your data is processed by the infrastructure we run on: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting and anonymous usage analytics), Resend (sign-in emails), Anthropic (generating recommendations from the band names in a search), and Google (Google sign-in, if you use it, and Google Analytics — no ad personalization). Listening previews are embedded from Spotify, which sets its own cookies under its own policies, and artist photos are loaded from Spotify's and Deezer's image servers.

Your choices

Edit or clear your favorites and saves anytime. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email help@lineupscout.app from the address on the account and we'll remove it promptly.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll announce them on the site (and by email where it matters) before they take effect — no quiet rewrites.
