LA producer working the space where house bounce meets bass-music weight — g-house grooves cut with hip-hop swagger.

Dr. Fresch is a Los Angeles producer and DJ who built his name around g-house, the strain of house music that borrows its swing and its vocal attitude from West Coast rap. His tracks tend to run on a hard, swung kick pattern with growling low end underneath, sitting close enough to bass music that his sets move easily between the two.

He runs The Prescription as a mix series and imprint, using it to release his own material alongside other producers working the same ground, and has put out music through labels including Insomniac Records and Dim Mak.
