Banjo-house crossover — folk samples and organic textures with festival-sized drops, stomping the line between hoedown and main stage.

BUNT. started in Stuttgart in 2014, when Levi Wijk and Nico Crispin were college students who bonded over a shared love of Swedish House Mafia and Avicii. Signed early to Interscope Management, the pair worked as a duo under the name BUNT., building a sound around banjo and acoustic guitar set against house rhythms.

In 2016 the duo released "Old Guitar" and "Young Hearts", pairing plucked strings with dance-floor rhythms, followed in 2019 by "Oh My Other". Their style drew on Justice, Basement Jaxx and Calvin Harris as much as folk music, a mix later described as electronic folk.

In 2020 they released "Unbreakable" featuring Clarence Coffee Jr., "Nights Like That" with Georgia Ku, and "Crocodile Tears" with Jens Hult. "Unbreakable" began life as an unreleased Avicii demo, tying BUNT. directly to the producer who shaped much of their sound.

Crispin left the group in 2021 and later stepped away from music entirely to run a tennis brand, leaving Wijk to continue alone. Wijk signed to Arista Records in 2023 and released "Clouds" featuring Nate Traveller, followed by the album Renaissance. In 2024 he collaborated with Mapei on "Trippin", from the album Levi Don't Do It.

Since the 2022 single "Paperplanes", Wijk has pushed the project away from banjo-house and toward deep house and stutter house, stepping back from the folk-electronic sound that defined BUNT.'s early singles.
