Paulo Londra
Argentine trap star who came up through freestyle battles and returned from a long contractual silence intact — Córdoba's comeback king.
Paulo Ezequiel Londra, born 12 April 1998, grew up in Córdoba and traced his interest in rap to watching Eminem's film 8 Mile. That pushed him to improvise verses with friends in public squares around the city, building a local following before he ever recorded in a studio.
At 14 he entered his first freestyle competition, a tournament called Sin Escritura, and by his own account struggled against rappers who favored aggressive bars. He spent roughly five years battling in the Quinto Escalón circuit, developing a melodic, technical style rather than a combative one, before shifting into Latin trap.
His recording career began with "Relax" in early 2017, and he built his name on songs that steer clear of the violence and drugs common in urban music: "Nena Maldición" with Lenny Tavarez, "Te Amo" with Piso 21, and "Cuando Te Besé" with Becky G, which reached the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and became the first song to top Billboard's Argentina Hot 100. "Adán y Eva" later did the same.
In 2019 he appeared on Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project alongside Dave on "Nothing on You," and released "Party" with A Boogie wit da Hoodie that September.
The following year a public dispute broke out with his label Big Ligas, with Londra accusing its heads, Ovy on the Drums and Kristoman, of manipulating him into a Warner Music contract that bound him until 2025 without his knowledge. The standoff, laid out in an open letter, kept him out of the studio for years until the legal case was resolved.
