Rainbow Girls are a trio who came together in 2011 and have since been based in Northern California. Their music sits between americana, indie folk and looser indie rock, built primarily around three voices singing together, with acoustic guitars and other stringed instruments filling in around them. They move between quiet, sparse arrangements and louder, communal-sounding songs, and they are known for a live approach that leaves room for banter, audience participation and covers alongside their own material.
