About LASSO Montréal 2026

LASSO is Montreal's country weekend, on the same Parc Jean-Drapeau island that hosts Osheaga and îLESONIQ earlier in the month. The fifth edition runs two days across four stages, with Nashville names at the top and a deep Québécois and Canadian undercard beneath them — that mix is the whole idea. LASSO in the City takes over downtown Montréal on the Friday before the gates open.

Thomas Rhett closes Saturday and Mumford & Sons close Sunday, the second of those a reminder that LASSO reads "country" generously. Jon Pardi and Koe Wetzel take Saturday's other main slots; Old Dominion and the Turnpike Troubadours anchor Sunday. The Sirius XM Backyard sessions stage runs a smaller songwriter format all weekend, and every act's day, stage and start time is published.

Expect country, folk, pop country and indie folk across 36 acts.

The sibling trio behind "If I Die Young" — harmony-forward country pop with a gothic streak.

The headliners

  • Thomas Rhett Radio country's most reliable hitmaker — a decade of chart-toppers built on easy charm and hooks that lean frankly pop.
  • Mumford & Sons Banjo-driven crescendos that defined a decade of festival folk, now delivered with the electric guitars left plugged in — the singalongs never optional.

Up-and-comers to catch early

  • Hayden Ryann Saturday evening on the Backyard sessions stage.
  • Theo Day Songwriter slot on Saturday, early enough to catch easily.
  • Krystel Mongeau Québécoise singer on Saturday's Backyard sessions bill.

Other acts worth planning around

  • Thomas Rhett Saturday's headliner — a decade of radio country condensed into ninety minutes.
  • Mumford & Sons Sunday's closer, and the booking that stretches what a country festival means. Banjos, yes, but a stadium band now.
  • Koe Wetzel The loudest thing on the bill by a wide margin, and closer to a rock show than anything else here.
  • Turnpike Troubadours Red dirt's cult act — the ones a chunk of this crowd is travelling for.
  • Old Dominion Sunday's Coors Original PRAIRIE stage headliner, and the best pure songwriters on the bill.
  • Carly Pearce Traditional-leaning country with a '90s heart, mid-evening Sunday on the main stage.
  • Cameron Whitcomb The Canadian riser most likely to be much further up this bill next year.
  • Classe Moyenne French-language country on the main stage — the clearest signal of what makes this festival Montreal's and not Nashville's.
