The Band Perry is a sibling trio of Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry, who signed to a Nashville label in 2009 after years of playing together in the South. Kimberly sings lead, with her brothers on mandolin, bass and other strings, and the group's early records paired close family harmony with country-pop production. "If I Die Young" was their breakout, a crossover hit whose imagery gave the band a darker, more folk-gothic edge than most of their contemporaries; "You Lie" and "Better Dig Two" followed. In later years the trio moved away from country toward pop.
