Arizona-raised songwriter who broke through online — heartbreak country sung with a crack left in it.

Avery Anna began posting singing videos as a teenager and built an audience online before moving into a recording career in Nashville, where she signed with Warner Music Nashville. Her best-known song, "Narcissist," is typical of her material: plainly worded writing about bad relationships and their aftermath, delivered in a light, slightly frayed voice over sparse acoustic and mid-tempo country arrangements. She tends to keep the production close to the vocal, leaving the phrasing and the small breaks in her delivery to carry the weight of the lyric.
