Dreamy neo-traditional country from a fast-rising Nashville transplant — twang with a soft-focus, retro glow.

Carter Faith grew up listening to her grandfather's country cassette tapes, the spark for a mostly self-taught musical education; she picked up piano and guitar on her own and started writing songs at sixteen, after a breakup. She attended Grammy Camp in Nashville, played the Bluebird Café, and appeared in Charlotte's Thanksgiving Day Parade before finishing high school.

She signed with Pound It Out Loud Entertainment in 2019 and released her first songs the following year, including "Leaving Tennessee," "Sinners in a Small Town" and "Easy Pill." A development deal with producer busbee's label Altadena followed, leading to the acoustic set The Dusk Session in 2021.

Faith made her first appearance at the Ryman Auditorium in mid-2021 and released her debut EP, Let Love Be Love, that August. She opened for the Avett Brothers, finished a songwriting degree at Belmont University, and by 2022 had signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Group Nashville and made her Grand Ole Opry debut.

Her debut album, Cherry Valley, arrived on MCA Nashville in October 2025 to strong reviews and earned an Academy of Country Music nomination for Album of the Year, making her the first artist in over a decade to receive that nomination for a debut, following Chris Stapleton's Traveller a decade earlier.

She cites Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline and Dusty Springfield among her influences alongside Lana Del Rey and Kacey Musgraves. She is part of the Nashville songwriters' collective Song Suffragettes and was cast in the Netflix thriller Heartland, alongside Jessica Chastain and John Hawkes.
