Patois Counselors is a band from Charlotte, North Carolina, led by Bo White, previously of the punk group Brain F≠. The line-up is larger than most punk outfits, with synthesisers and saxophone alongside the usual guitars and rhythm section.
The music combines nervy post-punk rhythms with cheap-sounding keyboards and White's clipped, deadpan vocal delivery, which favours wordy, sardonic observation over melody. Their records have appeared on the Ever/Never label.
