Dual-frontwoman indie rock that lovingly resurrects '90s alternative — big fuzzy hooks, deadpan cool, and twin guitar harmonies built for radio that no longer exists.

Momma is built around Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten, who began writing together as high school students in Los Angeles and later relocated to New York. The two share vocals and guitars, trading lead lines and singing in close harmony over distorted, mid-tempo arrangements that draw openly on 1990s American alternative rock.

Their albums have moved from lo-fi beginnings towards a cleaner, larger-sounding production, with Household Name bringing them wider attention. The songs tend to pair loud guitars with flat, unshowy vocal delivery and hooks built for repetition.
