Grace Ives is a songwriter and producer based in Brooklyn who builds her music largely alone, working with a compact setup of synthesisers and drum machines. Her songs are short and dense, with insistent basslines, blunt drum programming and vocal melodies delivered in a dry, conversational register.

The lyrics deal in small domestic details, self-observation and social awkwardness, often with a comic edge. Ives has released her work through Dots Per Inch Music, and her records have been noted for the amount of hook and incident packed into tracks that rarely stretch past a couple of minutes.
