Lykke Li is a Swedish singer and songwriter who emerged from Stockholm in the late 2000s with a debut album produced by Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John. Her early work paired thin, high vocals with sparse percussion and minimal arrangements; later records moved toward heavier drums, reverb-soaked production and a more openly romantic, melancholy register.

She is widely known for "I Follow Rivers," which became a substantial European hit after a remix circulated widely, and for a catalogue that returns repeatedly to loss, desire and self-recrimination. Live, she performs with a stark, choreographed presentation that leans on lighting and repetition rather than conventional band dynamics.
