Hazy, vintage-toned dream-pop — cinematic sad-girl songs with a wink, screen-star mystique earning its music credentials.

Suki Waterhouse was born Alice Suki Waterhouse in Hammersmith, London, in 1992, and raised nearby in Chiswick, the daughter of a cancer care nurse and a plastic surgeon. She has an older brother and two younger sisters, one of whom, Madeleine, also works as a model.

She began modelling at sixteen after being discovered in a London high-street store, later working for Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss and Ferragamo and appearing on international covers of Vogue. Acting followed, with roles in Love, Rosie, the Divergent series, The Bad Batch and Assassination Nation, and in 2023 she played keyboardist Karen Sirko in the television adaptation of Daisy Jones & the Six.

She began releasing music in the later 2010s, issuing an EP, Milk Teeth, alongside her debut album, I Can't Let Go, on Sub Pop in 2022. A second album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, followed in 2024.

Her songs sit between indie pop and dream pop, built on soft, low-set vocals, reverb-heavy guitars and arrangements that draw on 1960s pop and country balladry. The single Good Looking found a large audience online several years after its original release and remains her best-known track.
