Chicago's own tech-house superstar — main-stage house music with hometown-hero energy and the biggest crossover run the genre has seen in years.

John Summit is a DJ and producer from Chicago who worked as an accountant before music became a full-time job. He broke through around 2020 with club tracks including "Deep End", and has since moved from underground tech house into arenas and main-stage bookings, helped by vocal-led records such as "Where You Are" with Hayla.

His productions keep the rolling basslines and swung percussion of tech house but add big, singable hooks, which is largely what has carried them beyond dance floors. He runs the label Experts Only, and is a conspicuously online presence, much of his following built through short-form video as well as touring.
