Duke Dumont is the recording name of Adam Dyment, a British producer and DJ from London. He works largely in house music, drawing on the piano chords, garage rhythms and vocal hooks of 1990s UK and American dance records rather than the harder edges of contemporary EDM.
He became widely known through the singles "Need U (100%)" and "I Got U", both of which reached number one in the UK, and later "Ocean Drive", a warmer, more melodic track that became one of his most recognisable songs. His DJ sets and productions tend to stay within that classicist house framework, favouring groove and melody over abrupt drops.
