Irish rave-house heat — big-room energy with underground credentials, breakbeats and pianos at full sprint, Galway-to-warehouse momentum fully underway.

Evan Campbell, who records as Kettama, was born on 30 May 1997 in Galway. At sixteen he bought a Launchpad bundled with a trial of Ableton and taught himself production by remaking the piano line from Tyga's "I'm Different." Six months later he downloaded a cracked copy of FL Studio and began uploading tracks to SoundCloud, playing clubs by the time he was seventeen.

His productions draw on classic house and rave templates: hard-swung drums, breakbeats, acid lines and piano riffs, pitched up toward the harder, faster end of contemporary club music. He has become one of the more visible figures in the recent wave of Irish dance producers, and his DJ sets keep to the same high-energy register as the records.

He emerged in the late 2010s through a run of EPs and remixes, breaking through in 2018 with "B O D Y," from the Bucklyn Bridge EP, after the track was picked up by DJs Mall Grab and Annie Mac and gained attention internationally.

In 2019 he co-founded the label G-Town Records with fellow producer Shampain, naming it for their shared home city. He has also recorded under collaborative names, pairing with Tommy Holohan as Samba Boys and with Partiboi69 as KETBOI69.

Kettama's singles have reached the Irish charts: "It Gets Better (Forever Mix)" hit number 37 in 2025, and "Comes and Goes" entered at number 19 the following year before topping the Irish Homegrown Chart. In 2025 he also began a residency on BBC Radio 1 Dance.
