VTSS is the alias of Martyna Maja, a Polish DJ and producer who emerged from the Warsaw club scene, where she was involved with the Brutaż party series, before relocating to Berlin. Her productions and DJ sets sit at the harder, faster end of contemporary techno, drawing on rave, EBM and industrial textures, and she has increasingly incorporated her own vocals into her work. She is known for high-tempo sets and for an irreverent public persona that sits at odds with techno's more austere traditions.
