The producer who welded French house to American pop radio and never really stopped — a career built on the festival-sized chorus.

David Guetta was born in Paris in 1967 and spent the late 1980s and 1990s as a club DJ and promoter there, releasing house records well before he became a household name. His crossover arrived with One Love, which paired dance production with vocalists including Kelly Rowland and Akon and helped establish the template for the electronic-pop hybrid that dominated radio in the years that followed.

Nothing but the Beat continued that approach, and "Titanium", featuring Sia, became one of his most enduring songs. He has produced and remixed for a long list of pop and hip-hop artists, and his sets stay close to the big-room end of house, built around drops, familiar vocal hooks and material drawn from across his catalogue.
