Quebec trio making impossibly smooth bedroom dream-pop — bass-forward, hushed, and quietly enormous online, a headphone act that scaled to festivals.

Men I Trust formed in Quebec City in 2014 around Dragos Chiriac and Jessy Caron, with Emma Proulx joining as vocalist and becoming central to the group's sound. Their music is built on soft, foregrounded basslines, clean guitar figures, unhurried tempos and Proulx's quiet, close-miked singing.

The band produces and releases its own records, and built an audience largely through streaming and online word of mouth before moving to larger rooms and touring internationally. The recordings favour restraint over dynamics, with arrangements that stay hushed even at their fullest.
