Finn Wolfhard was born in Vancouver in 2002 and is best known as an actor, but he has been making guitar music alongside that work for most of his teens and twenties. He fronted the band Calpurnia, which released material through Royal Mountain Records before disbanding, and afterwards formed The Aubreys with drummer Malcolm Craig, a project with a looser and more experimental streak.
The music itself sits in a fairly unpretentious indie rock tradition — jangling guitars, unforced vocals, arrangements that sound like they were worked out in a rehearsal room rather than constructed in a studio. He has also moved into directing and screenwriting.
