Spacey Jane formed in Fremantle, Western Australia, in 2016, with Caleb Harper on vocals and guitar. The band plays melodic indie rock with jangling guitars and lyrics that lean toward anxiety, drift and young adulthood. Their debut album Sunlight brought wide attention in Australia, and the single "Booster Seat" placed second in the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2020. Subsequent records have kept the same guitar-forward approach while expanding the production, and the band has toured internationally.
