Turnover formed in Virginia Beach in 2009 and began as a pop-punk and emo band before shifting toward softer, reverb-heavy guitar music. Their later records lean on clean chorused guitar tones, subdued vocals and mid-tempo rhythms, drawing comparisons to dream pop and jangle pop, with some later material incorporating funk and jazz elements. They have recorded for Run for Cover Records.
