CRICKETS brings together JD Samson, known for her work in Le Tigre and MEN, and Roddy Bottum, the keyboardist of Faith No More and a founding member of Imperial Teen, alongside Michael O'Neill, Samson's longtime collaborator in MEN. The music draws on the members' backgrounds in queer punk and art-pop, pairing synth-led arrangements with a punk delivery.
