Sibling NYC hyperpop chaos agents — glitchy, funny, and relentless, a live set that plays like a timeline scrolled at maximum speed.

Angel and Lulu Prost grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, performing together from childhood, singing at church and later playing in various cover bands, including a Green Day tribute with their brother Brian and, for Lulu, a Beatles cover group called the Termites.

The siblings moved apart in 2016, Angel to study neuroscience in the Bronx, Lulu to attend music school in Nashville. They started Frost Children remotely in 2019, releasing a cover of Fall Out Boy's "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out," and reunited in St. Louis during the pandemic to record their first collection, Aviation Creates Adventurous Beginnings.

Now based together in New York, Frost Children work at the noisier end of hyperpop, pulling from digital hardcore, electro house and electropop. Pitched vocals, abrupt structural turns and deliberately overloaded production define songs that move through several ideas in a short span, with releases arriving prolifically since albums such as Elixir Rejection and Spiral.

Spiral, their 2022 full-length, was recorded upstate and built the duo's profile within Manhattan and Brooklyn's Dimes Square nightlife scene. Its follow-up, Speed Run, leaned into club rhythms, while a companion record, Hearth Room, softened into gentler, more conventional pop structures after Angel suffered a head injury that left her wanting quieter, acoustic music while recovering.

Live, the pair perform as a duo splitting vocals and electronics, their sets built on physical energy rather than a static laptop setup. Recent collaborators have included Porter Robinson, Danny Brown and Haru Nemuri, with whom they made the EP Soul Kiss by trading files and testing tracks in Berlin clubs.
