Madrid's blissed-out bedroom-pop futurist — Spain's new wave in full flight, autotune used like watercolor, bedroom experiments gone continental.

rusowsky is the recording name of a Madrid-based singer and producer who emerged from the same circle of young Spanish artists — clustered around the rusia IDK collective — that also produced Ralphie Choo and other collaborators. He tends to write, produce and mix his own material, working from a home-studio setup.

The sound draws on bedroom pop, R&B and club music, with heavily processed and layered vocals used as much for texture as for melody, and Spanish-language lyrics delivered in a soft, close-miked style. He has been widely grouped with a broader wave of Spanish artists rethinking pop production outside the country's mainstream industry.
