Glittering, game-engine electronic — Australia's most inventive young club producer, chiptune sparkle at rave pressure, drops that sparkle as hard as they hit.

Ninajirachi, born Nina Jo Wilson, grew up in Kincumber on the Central Coast and attended Gosford High School, working at a Yogurtland store as a teenager. She played clarinet in her primary school band and began recording herself on GarageBand before moving to FL Studio and Ableton. Her stage name combines her first name with Jirachi, a Pokémon.

She grew up on her mother's Kylie Minogue records and radio pop in the car with her father. The first concert she attended was a Porter Robinson show, and she later co-produced "WannaCry" with him. Madeon's mashup "Pop Culture" pulled her toward EDM and fed directly into her own single "iPod Touch," which Madeon remixed a year later.

Wilson broke through with 2017's "Pure Luck," featuring Freya Staer, which reached high rotation on Triple J after she twice made the finals of the station's Unearthed High competition. She signed to NLV Records and released "Pathetic" in 2018, followed by her debut EP Lapland in 2019, then "Cut the Rope" in 2020, the first track to feature her own vocals.

A run of collaborative and solo releases followed: the EP True North with Kota Banks, named among the year's best albums by The Atlantic in 2021, an official Ableton Live 11 demo project built from her own techniques, the mixtape Second Nature in 2022, "Shypop" with ISOxo in 2023, and the EPs 4x4 and Girl EDM across 2023 and 2024.

Her debut album, I Love My Computer, arrived in August 2025 to strong reviews and brought her wider international attention. It led to eight ARIA nominations, more than any other artist that year, and wins for Best Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist and Best Independent Release, alongside the Australian Music Prize and awards from the NSW Music Prize and the J Awards.
