Emotional stadium-scale melodic house — sunset-slot perfection from the Australian trio, 'Innerbloom' as the communal cry.

RÜFÜS DU SOL take their name from an early lineup that began performing as Rüfüs in Sydney in November 2010, releasing a debut EP the following January. Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt renamed themselves Rüfüs Du Sol for the United States market in January 2014, to avoid confusion with the funk band Rufus, before adopting the name worldwide in May 2018 for consistency.

Their music sets house and techno structures against live instrumentation and sung vocals, extending songs into long instrumental builds rather than tight pop structures. Onstage, RÜFÜS DU SOL perform as a full band, with drums, guitar and synthesisers, rather than working from a DJ set-up.

Their debut album, Atlas, reached number one in Australia in 2013, and every album since, Bloom, Solace and Surrender, has landed at number one or two there. The single "You Were Right" won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 2015, while the group's 2022 song "Alive" earned a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.

The band's audience grew steadily in the United States, where they eventually based themselves, settling in Los Angeles. Their Surrender world tour, running from 2021 to 2023, included three sold-out shows at the city's Banc of California Stadium, a scale reflecting how far their audience had grown beyond Australia.
