Swiss duo trading in long, patient melodic house — sets structured like weather systems rather than setlists, building pressure for an hour before finally letting it break.

Adriatique's two members, Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, met in Zurich's club scene around 2008; the duo's name simply reflects that both are named Adrian. Their first releases arrived in 2011, including the tracks 'The L. Way' and 'Deep In The Three', followed by the EP Playground, which introduced them to Europe's underground circuit.

By 2012 the pair had become affiliated with Diynamic, the label run by Solomun, and their sound settled into the patient, chord-driven approach they have carried since. They have remixed artists including Moby, DJ Hell, M.A.N.D.Y., Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin.

In 2016 they founded their own label, Siamese, both to release their own work and to support other artists working in a similar melodic register. Two years later they released their only full-length album, Nude, through Afterlife, the label founded by Tale Of Us.

Adriatique recorded a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2017 and won three Swiss Nightlife Awards around the same period. In 2019 they marked ten years as a duo with the EP X on Siamese, followed by further singles and remixes, including reworkings of tracks by RÜFÜS DU SOL and the Swedish House Mafia and the Weeknd collaboration.

In 2022 the duo launched X, an event series carrying their name into cities including Zurich, Tel Aviv, Ibiza, Beirut, New York, São Paulo and Amsterdam. In 2023 they performed at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt, as part of the Cercle live-stream series.
