Montreal's arch electroclash survivor — deadpan vocals, filthy synths, and a sense of humor most techno lacks, 'Sunglasses at Night' included.

Tiga is a Montreal DJ, producer and vocalist who helped shape the electroclash moment of the early 2000s. He co-founded the Turbo Recordings label and was involved in Montreal's club scene as a promoter and record-shop operator before his own productions took off. His cover of Corey Hart's "Sunglasses at Night," recorded with Zyntherius, became an international club hit and remains the track most listeners know him by.

His own material pairs stiff, hard-edged synth lines with flat, wry spoken or sung vocals, and he has continued to work in techno and house across a series of albums and singles. The humour in his lyrics is a consistent feature, as is a taste for blunt, physical dancefloor production.
