Adventure Club
Canadian duo who helped invent melodic dubstep with a run of era-defining remixes — soaring vocals over filthy-then-gorgeous drops that taught bass music how to feel.
Adventure Club is an electronic duo from Montreal, active since around 2011. Christian Srigley and Leighton James began as a pop-punk band before moving into bass music, and their early remixes — including a widely circulated reworking of Flight Facilities' "Crave You" — helped define the melodic strain of dubstep that paired sung, emotive vocal lines with heavy drops.
Their subsequent output has ranged across dubstep, drum and bass and broader EDM, generally built around big vocal hooks and a contrast between delicate verses and aggressive low-end. The pair have remained a steady presence in North American bass music, both as producers and as a touring act.
