SPEED are a hardcore band from Sydney, formed at the end of the 2010s and fronted by Jem Siow. Their music draws on 1990s New York hardcore and beatdown, built around slow, heavy mosh parts and shouted, call-and-response vocals, with lyrics that return repeatedly to friendship, family and the band's Asian-Australian background. After an EP and a run of singles, they released the album Only One Mode in 2024, which brought them a substantially larger international audience.
