Thrown are a hardcore band from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed toward the end of the 2010s. They work in a compact, heavy style that draws on beatdown hardcore and metalcore while borrowing rhythmic and textural ideas from nu metal, with downtuned guitars, abrupt tempo shifts and songs that rarely outstay a few minutes.

The lyrics deal directly with anxiety, dissociation and panic, and the arrangements are built to mirror that: dense, repetitive and deliberately airless. The band has built its following largely through short releases and heavy touring in Europe and beyond.
