Anthony Green's art-punk flagship, reunited — soaring, strange, and beloved, with a fanbase that treats these songs as sacred text.

Circa Survive formed in Philadelphia in 2004 around vocalist Anthony Green, who had previously sung with Saosin, alongside guitarists Colin Frangicetto and Brendan Ekstrom, bassist Nick Beard and drummer Steve Clifford. Their debut Juturna appeared in 2005, followed by On Letting Go and the major-label Blue Sky Noise.

The band's sound sits between post-hardcore and progressive rock: layered, effects-heavy guitar parts and shifting time signatures under Green's high, wavering tenor and impressionistic lyrics. They built a durable following through consistent touring and anniversary shows for their early albums, and the line-up remained largely unchanged across their career.
