Nu-metal's chaos agents in their beloved victory-lap era — Fred Durst does it all for the nookie, still, and the field does it with him.

Limp Bizkit formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994, and became one of the defining acts of the nu-metal era, combining downtuned riffs, hip-hop-derived rhythms and rapped vocals from frontman Fred Durst. Their sound also drew on the turntable work built into the band's line-up, an unusual feature for a rock group of the period.

After enormous commercial success around the turn of the millennium, the band went through breaks and line-up changes before returning to regular touring. In recent years their live shows have found a new audience, with much of the appeal resting on the songs' familiarity and Durst's unbothered, self-aware stage manner.
