A twelve-piece built around Susan Tedeschi's voice and Derek Trucks's slide — the most musicianly band on any festival bill.

Tedeschi Trucks Band formed in 2010 around the married pair of Susan Tedeschi, a blues singer and guitarist, and Derek Trucks, the slide guitarist known for his work with the Allman Brothers Band and his own Derek Trucks Band. The pair had toured together since 2007 before merging their groups. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the outfit is unusually large, with a horn section, multiple backing vocalists and two drummers.

Their music draws on blues rock, Southern soul, gospel and jam-band improvisation, with long instrumental passages built around Trucks's open-tuned slide playing and Tedeschi's full-throated singing.

Their 2011 debut album, Revelator, won the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album. It was followed by the live record Everybody's Talkin' (2012), Made Up Mind (2013), and Let Me Get By (2016), the last produced by Trucks and released on Fantasy Records, debuting at number 15 on the Billboard 200. Signs (2019) was named a favorite blues album by AllMusic.

In 2022 the band released I Am the Moon, a quadruple album of 24 original songs issued in four parts across the year. A sixth studio album, Future Soul, followed in 2026.

They remain primarily a live act, playing extended sets that mix original material with covers drawn from the blues and soul repertoire.
