The Lovell sisters play slide guitar and harmony vocals with a Georgia blues fluency that took years to earn — roots-rock swagger, zero costume.
Larkin Poe is the project of sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, raised near Atlanta and active under this name since 2009. The two had played together earlier in a bluegrass-leaning family band, and traces of that training remain in their harmony singing and in Megan's lap steel and Dobro playing, which sits at the front of most arrangements alongside Rebecca's lead vocals and guitar.
Their records lean on electric blues and Southern rock, mixing original songs with reworked traditional and blues material. The live show is built around slide guitar and close sibling harmony, and the band has also become known online for stripped-back cover videos filmed as a duo.
