Gunna is the stage name of Sergio Kitchens, a rapper from the Atlanta area who emerged in the mid-2010s through his association with Young Thug and the YSL circle. His run of Drip Season mixtapes established the approach he is still known for: half-sung, elastic melodic delivery over airy trap production, much of it handled by frequent collaborator Wheezy.
His albums include Drip or Drown 2, Wunna and DS4Ever, and he has recorded a collaborative project with Lil Baby. The lyrics lean heavily on fashion, wealth and texture rather than narrative, and the vocals are typically delivered in a relaxed, unhurried register that sits close to the beat.
