Riley Green
Small-town Alabama traditionalist — hunting-camp country with a college-quarterback charm.
Riley Green is a country singer and songwriter from Jacksonville, Alabama. He played quarterback at Jacksonville State University before turning to music, releasing independent EPs in the mid-2010s and later signing with Big Machine. His breakthrough came with "There Was This Girl" and "I Wish Grandpas Never Died", the latter written about his own grandfathers, and he has continued to work in a traditional-leaning style built on straightforward storytelling, small-town detail and a plain vocal delivery. He has also recorded duets with other country artists, and his songs tend to draw on hunting, family and rural Alabama life.
