Nate Smith

2 festivals played

California-raised country singer with a rasp built for volume, broken through on the strength of 'Whiskey On You' — heartbreak sung at arena scale.

Nate Smith grew up in Paradise, California, a town largely destroyed by the 2018 Camp Fire — an event he has spoken about as a turning point that pushed him toward pursuing music full time in Nashville. He signed with Sony Music Nashville and released his self-titled debut album in 2023.

His sound sits on the rock-leaning side of contemporary country, built around a gravelly, high-volume vocal and big, guitar-driven arrangements. Alongside "Whiskey On You," he is known for "World on Fire," and his live sets draw heavily on that same widescreen, radio-country approach.
