UK alt-rock provocateur — theatrical, communal, and louder every year, a fanbase that treats shows like family reunions.

Yungblud is the stage name of Dominic Harrison, born in 1997 in Doncaster. Before music he worked as an actor, appearing in Emmerdale and The Lodge. He was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and was suspended from Ackworth School after a dare, and he later enrolled at the Arts Educational Schools in London before quitting in 2015, unhappy with what he called its rigid approach to creativity.

He emerged in the late 2010s with a sound that pulls from pop-punk, glam and British guitar rock, delivered in a broad Yorkshire accent and paired with lyrics about class, alienation and youth politics.

His debut EP Yungblud and first album 21st Century Liability came out in 2018, followed by the EP The Underrated Youth in 2019, the year he also released "11 Minutes" with Halsey and Travis Barker. His second album, Weird!, topped the UK chart in 2020, and his third, again titled Yungblud, repeated that feat in 2022 while also reaching the US Billboard 200.

His records have grown steadily bigger and more theatrical since his debut. Much of his reputation rests on the live show and on the closeness of the audience around it: the band plays fast and loud, Harrison talks between songs as much as he sings, and the crowd is treated as part of the performance rather than an audience for it.
