Modern pop-punk standard-bearers — gruff, fast, and beloved, Walnut Creek's chip-on-shoulder anthems in full stride, pits and singalongs in equal measure.
The Story So Far came together in Walnut Creek, California, in 2007, and became one of the more prominent bands in the pop-punk revival of the following decade. Parker Cannon's shouted, largely unmelodic vocals sit over fast, palm-muted guitars and hard-hitting drums, closer to melodic hardcore than to the polished pop-punk of the previous generation.
Their songs tend to be short and blunt, often built around interpersonal grievance, and their live shows are known for crowd movement and audience singing. The band has released a series of albums through Pure Noise Records.
