Sleeping with Sirens
Kellin Quinn's falsetto-fronted post-hardcore — Warped Tour royalty matured, with the high notes fully intact and scene-era devotion still filling rooms.
Sleeping with Sirens formed in Orlando, Florida, in 2009, put together by Nick Trombino, formerly of the band Broadway, and Brandon McMaster. Kellin Quinn, originally from Oregon, took over lead vocals early on and became the band's defining voice, known for an unusually high tenor range.
The band's music moves between post-hardcore, pop-punk and straightforward alternative rock, setting screamed passages against large melodic choruses. They have also recorded acoustic versions of their own material, including an early acoustic EP, If You Were a Movie, This Would Be You.
Their debut album, With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear, came out in 2010 through Rise Records, led by the eventually platinum-certified single "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn". The follow-up, Let's Cheers to This (2011), became a breakout thanks to "If You Can't Hang", later certified double platinum.
Subsequent albums moved the band across labels: Feel (2013) debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, Madness (2015) arrived through Epitaph Records, Gossip (2017) through Warner Bros., and How It Feels to Be Lost (2019) through Sumerian. The band, now rounded out by guitarists Nick Martin and Tony Pizzuti, bassist Justin Hills and drummer Matty Best, is currently signed to Rise Records.
Sleeping with Sirens came up through the American scene of the early 2010s and became a fixture on Warped Tour, building an audience alongside contemporaries such as Pierce the Veil, with whom they have frequently toured and collaborated.
