New Found Glory formed in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1997, and became one of the defining American pop-punk bands of the following decade. The group pairs Jordan Pundik's nasal, high-register vocals with Chad Gilbert's guitar work, which draws as much on hardcore as on melodic punk — a combination often credited with shaping the subgenre later labelled easycore.

Songs such as "My Friends Over You" and "All Downhill from Here" carried the band onto rock radio in the early 2000s. They have also released several albums of cover versions, reworking pop and film songs in their own style, and have toured almost continuously across their career.
