Richmond pop-punk with a genuine pop instinct — hooks first, scene second, and choruses polished enough to pass for radio pop with the guitars turned down.

Broadside formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2010 and became part of the pop-punk revival that ran through the 2010s, releasing records on Victory Records and later on SharpTone. Fronted by vocalist Ollie Baxxter, the band leans harder on melody and vocal performance than most of its peers, with clean production, layered harmonies and song structures closer to mainstream pop than to the genre's punk roots. The guitars remain loud, but the writing consistently puts the hook first.
