Girlfriends are an American pop-punk duo formed in 2020, made up of Travis Mills and Nick Gross. The pair came together in California and released their debut album through Travis Barker's DTA Records, with Barker involved in the recording. Their songs are short and melodic, built on fast guitars, layered vocal hooks and a clean, modern production style that sits close to the wave of pop-punk revival acts that emerged at the start of the 2020s. Mills had previously worked as a rapper and radio host, while Gross plays drums and works in music business ventures outside the band.
