Pacific Northwest pop-punk lifers — fast, bright, and unbothered by three decades passing, 'Chick Magnet' still a set-list law.

MxPx formed in Bremerton, Washington in the early 1990s, built around bassist and singer Mike Herrera. The band came up through the Pacific Northwest punk scene and released early records on Tooth & Nail before moving to a major label later in the decade. Their sound is fast, melodic skate punk with clean harmonies and short, hook-driven songs, and they remain one of the more durable acts of the era, having continued to record and tour across three decades.
