Rage-adjacent producer-vocalist making synth-heavy, blown-out digital pop for a very online audience — icy arpeggios, distorted 808s, and hooks that hit like a video-game boss theme.

2hollis is the project of Hollis Frazier-Doyle, born in Chicago in 2004 to musician John Herndon, drummer of Tortoise, and Kathryn Frazier, founder of the PR firm Biz 3 and co-founder of the label Owsla. The family moved to Los Angeles when he was ten, and he began producing music in high school under the name Drippysoup before adopting the 2hollis alias in 2020.

He builds his own tracks, and the results sit between electronic dance music and rap: hard, distorted 808s, bright synth arpeggios, and vocals that are often processed until they read as another layer of the mix.

Before settling into that sound he wrote music under a medieval-fantasy alias, Open Swords of Ten, described at the time as medieval trap. Wider attention followed his 2022 album White Tiger, and his song "Poster Boy" appeared on the soundtrack to EA Sports FC 24 in 2023.

His profile grew further in 2024 with the singles "crush" and "jeans" and the album Boy, and he opened for Ken Carson's Chaos Tour that year before headlining his own runs across two legs. The 2025 album Star arrived alongside further touring, and its single "Afraid," featuring Nate Sib, was named to the New York Times' list of the year's best songs.

His live shows are built around that production, with the songs pushed loud and fast rather than reworked, and have drawn a young audience that came to him through streaming and social platforms.
