BETWEEN FRIENDS is a Los Angeles duo made up of siblings Savannah and Brandon Hudson, who began releasing music in 2017. Their songs sit between bedroom pop and electronic-leaning alternative pop: soft, close-miked vocals, hazy synth textures, drum machines and guitar lines that stay deliberately unpolished. The lyrics tend toward small, conversational details about crushes, boredom and friendship, delivered in a near-whisper. The pair built an audience largely through streaming and online release, and their recorded work has kept the intimate, home-made quality of their earliest EPs.
